What ESG means to SLG
Quite simply, it means that in the effort to meet the needs of today, we are not compromising the ability of future generations to meet the needs of tomorrow.
Our strategy is structured around three key pillars: Product. Planet. People.
To support these pillars, we are building our internal teams and developing our strategy across our business to ensure that we deliver on our environmental and social commitments, whilst protecting and enhancing the financial health of our business.
Our Commitment
At SLG we understand that we have an essential responsibility to cause as little harm as possible to the environment, whilst not compromising on the safety, quality and integrity of our products, brands and our workspace.
To this end, we have a commitment to continually evolve our approach and to seek better solutions to minimise our environmental impact and to achieve our longer-term goals for an ever more sustainable business.
We support a circular economy approach, and are striving to significantly decrease the environmental impact of our products and packaging through intelligent and mindful design, responsible manufacturing and distribution, as well as the use, reuse and disposal of our products.
We are committed to attaining a culture that is fully inclusive with appropriate gender balance and diversity. We also wish to build a work environment where everyone is treated fairly and ethically, as well as committing time and effort to ensuring we make a positive impact on the communities we live and work in.
Furthermore, we look to work in partnership with other like-minded people and organisations to promote the adoption of similar sustainability strategies, increase the understanding of environmental issues, disseminating good practice and ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.
