Key Objectives 

As a member of the Supply Chain department, perform all relevant tasks to provide effective end-to-end merchandising functions for allocated brands, including sales analysis, demand forecasts and KPI driven stock management. Support strategic growth areas, such as e-commerce trading and demonstrate flexibility and initiative in a fast-paced working environment.


Key Tasks 

  • Sales performance analysis and ad-hoc analytical work across various business areas:
    • Utilising numerous ERP systems to obtain data.
    • Work with pre-determined templates and reports as well as blank page thinking.
    • Communicate findings to several stakeholders and apply insights whilst demand planning.
  • To support the sales team with the preparation, review and management of sales and demand forecasts.
  • End to end brand management: Demand Planning and sales forecast reviews, as well as inventory planning:
    • Regular forecast reviews, working in alignment with commercial sales plans.
    • To work closely with relevant stakeholders to understand key trade driving activities and ensure they are accurately captured in the forecasts.
    • Propose and execute measures to improve the quality of the forecast where appropriate.
    • Monitor and manage inventory levels in accordance with set KPI targets (I.e. stock turn, forecasting accuracy, availability).
  • Maintain appropriate stock levels via procurement and inventory management – maximise sales via effective stock management:
    • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with suppliers.
    • Monitor OTIF performance.
    • Raise and expedite purchase/works orders.
  • Work closely with other departments within the supply chain and further afield cross-functionally.
  • Assist with preparation of data and contents for monthly S&OP meetings.
  • Support strategic expansion into e-commerce trade (analytical and operational tasks)
  • Actively participate in team’s philosophy of continuous improvement

Qualifications & Experience Requirements 

  • Qualified to degree level or equivalent in a relevant discipline such as business or finance
  • Experience of forecasting within a formal demand management process, including Sales and Operations planning process, and utilising ERP and forecasting software
  • E-commerce merchandising experience would be ideal
  • Highly competent and creative with numerical data
  • Extremely high level of attention to detail
  • Ability to interpret complex sets of information and identify challenges before they arise
  • High level of commercial acumen and awareness of current trends within beauty and lifestyle industry – experience within the retail sector would be advantageous
  • Computer literate – able to use MS Software applications, especially Excel to an advanced level
